Because you love cats? ;)

No... probably because like Garfield, I realise that Christmas is meant to be a perfect day where everyone is happy, but simply just hides their distaste for each other meanwhile, it's just a glorified day where people buy presents in a shallow attempt to try and shove what gift they think the person needs as a way of covering up for the fact that they don't really know them as well as they should.

But that's just me.

WHY??? That was awful. It sounded like it was narrated by a 10 year old who was bored while his mother was out shopping.

I hadn't heard of it until a few years ago.  Today, Dec 5th, is Krampus Night though.  Dec 6th is St. Nicholaus (nick-o-la-shh, not nick-o-liss) day.  It looks like Krampus is the opposite -- Takes stuff from kids.  Probably the idea of the devil and Hell, maybe the boogey man.  Or just from thinking of the opposite of Santa Claus.

Looks like it should be nighttime right now on Dec 5th in Australia....

So he's like the reason kids are warned about stranger danger???    ;D

Oh... and on a side note - that video is probably the only proof people need for why all the recorders in the world should be confiscated, put into a big pile and burnt until there is nothing left but a big puddle of plastic.

I'm sure they can recycle it for something more useful... like more bins.

You see the problem is with Conductors is that they are polite. They never jump in early, or go against the composers wishes.

Here's how you shove someone out the way.

I'm thinking if you select pieces for a school "holiday" event, if you're supposed to pick a variety of pieces, a variety of styles, nationalities, etc....  Shouldn't you be picking some Krampus music too then?

That might get the heavy metal style into a concert/program.

I could actually see this piece working for an elementary group...  ::)

The fact that, the channel above has more than 6,000,000 views and the number of likes and dislikes on any given video shows that the ratio of stupid morons, easily outweighs the bright intelligent people.

Despite the incredibly poor playing of the violin... those shots spliced in really make the video rather amusing.

Allow me to respond in kind.

Always makes me laugh. I can't believe however they actually managed to get an Elephant into the Orchestra pit.

I was looking for elementary violin performances, for that sound, except they're real life performances....

Then I found a video on what creates bad string sounds but the format was wrong for posting here.

So I got nothing.

so many things on the internet on Krampus are not quite written in the right perspective, this write p the guy actually knows what he's talking about, Krampus is actually on the same side as St Nicolas, he's not the opposite of Santa or bad, he's the 'arm of justice' so to speak, Santa rewards good, and Krampus punishes evil, and detering bad behavior and punishing bad is not a bad thing right? at least that's how the original folk tales put it, but along the way, people started saying he's  bad boogey man,

still, creepy as heck, and as author said, pretty severe, but that was sort of the point originally at least to those that created and developed the folk tale and it's tradition.
