can you help me identify a piece?
on: June 19, 2005, 06:13:06 PM
Hi everyone your help would be greatly appreciated.

I found a clip on lang lang's site (www.langlang.com). More specifically on the microsite of his carnegie hall performance. There are special clips that you can view from the DVD. There is a bonus clip where you see lang lang at his first concert. i would really like to know the name of that piece and its composer.

Thank you

Maybe it's just me, but I'm having a hard time finding what you're talking about.

Try getting the URL - right-click on the link > properties , that might make it a little easier.  I don't see Carnegie on his concert list, so apparently, I'm either in the wrong place, or am just blind. :)

Now at the top right hand corner of this page there's a drop down menu . Select DVD Bonus - I. Within this clip shows lang lang at his first concert and i was spellbounded with the ability of this five year old. I would like you to pls help me find the name and composer of the piece. ... nah, I don't think it's #3, unless it's a middle section I don't remember or something.

Ten minutes into Reminiscences de Don Juan by Liszt(and Mozart).

BTW, people are right. Lang Lang does play poorly. At least judging this sample.

Ten minutes into Reminiscences de Don Juan by Liszt(and Mozart).
The piece on the opening page is an arrangement of La ci darem la mano from Don Giovanni. Perhaps this is what you are referring to Daevren.
The question was about a piece played by Lang Lang which can be found as follows -
"Now at the top right hand corner of this page there's a drop down menu . Select DVD Bonus - I. Within this clip shows lang lang at his first concert "
