need suggestions on what edition to buy
on: June 20, 2005, 08:53:29 AM
I usually borrow most of my music from the public library, but after mastering the complete debussy preludes, i thought i should treat myself to my own copy of both books- does anyone have any suggestions of which edition is the best? (i was thinking U.M.P, but i've heard they contain mistakes).

i also need my own copy of Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit because i can't write any of my fingerings on a library copy, and with any piece i learn, i find it easier if i write all over the music, which obviously cant be done on a borrowed copy- so what's the best edition of that to get? (again considering U.M.P, but unsure for same reason as the preludes)

I use Henle for the preludes.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
