"Emergency" logout?
on: June 22, 2005, 09:23:57 PM
What's up with that?  Take a look in the lower right corner.

What would the "emergency" be that would cause you to use that button?

(Nils in streetside recliner conducting the traffic with his swizzlestick, with a remote that will eject him out of the recliner onto the top of the building in case of danger.)

Someone stop me.

I'm afraid to try hitting it.  What's the difference between that logout button and the other one?

The emergency logout is connected to your piano bench.  It will eject you from the piano room in case of really horrible practicing.

Bob has run away in fear, nervous now that his practicing will get him ejected, when in reality he is fine.  He is just lacking self-confidence.

Come back, Bob.

Maybe it's a really quick logoff for when your boss comes in and looks over your shoulder to see if you're really working.

It doesn't even work here, when I click it, the main forum page opens and I'm still logged in.

Yes, the emergency logout just seemd to be a shortcut to get back to the homepage.  This way, one doesn't have to scroll all the way back to the top.  Which is annoying.
