what does everyone think about there solo piano music?
and what are you favorite pieces by them

i think arensky's four etudes (i can't remmeber the op number) are masterpieces
i was just reading thro his eb minor etudes it'a easier than it's sounds and it's amzing the a minor etude is also great and powefull, i have to check his other set of etudes.

also liadov three preludes (can't remmeber the op number to, it's the one recorded by hyperion) are amazing specialy the second one in b flat minor, which i'm working on right now, it's so touching it could easly make you cry mostly because it's very hard and awkward but still very emotional.

and d'albert sonata op.10 is growing on me i didn't like first but now it's one of my new favs
he also wrote some great short works.

Playing two sets of Liadov preludes in the fall; gorgeous music.
