Anyone know what edition he played on the tv show?  (Or what tv show it was? 60 minutes I think)

I have no idea what show you are talking about but he was probably playing his own transcription.

Are you sure you don't mean his transcription of Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever," which he played frequently in concert?

One of these days.......I'm going to get or arrange a good piano arrangement for Star-Spangled Banner,  one that will not kill me, but will be pianistic AND singable AND sound great....one of these days....

Oh, my mistake... I thought he meant The Stars and Stripes Forever.

Never mind...

I have a pdf of Godowsky's arrangement of "Star Spangled Banner".  I'll post it here, if anyone is interested.

What fun!  Thanks, Joell.  I think this'll be terrific.

This is great.  For those of us who labor too hard to whip up arrangements, thank you!

Hofmann's is just a simplistic literal transcription and is rather boring.

JCarey, the Horowitz arrangement is awesome.  I love playing anything with huge chords!  And, joell, that Godowsky looks difficult.  Fortunately, it is short.  Both of these look like recital material for me.  It will take a while, though!  Thanks for the research guys.
