I'm will be competing in a piano competition this coming fall. The requirements are 30 minutes of music minimum (20 will be heard) and from 3 time periods of 5 (they include impressionism as one) with contemporary being a requirement.

My repertoire that i'm preparing, but I have to narrow it down to one from each category.

Granados: Valses Poeticos (complete) and Arabesque (no. 12) from 12 Spanish Dances
or
Grieg - Piano Sonata - mvt. I, II, IV

Beethoven - Bagatelles Op. 119 (complete)
or
Beethoven - Tempest Sonata - I mvt.

Ginastera 12 American Preludes (8 to 10 of them)
or
Joaquin Rodrigo - À 'ombre de Torre Bermeja (In the shadows of the Crimson Castle)

Granados, Bagatelles and Ginastera, though I would recommend learning the complete set of preludes; not just a selection.
