The cadenzas can be from concerti or solo works.

My favorites:

Ravel Piano Concerto in G, 1st Mvt.
Prokofiev Piano Concerto #2, 1st Mvt.

 I am not sure, but I think my favorite is the Cadenza to Beethoven's piano Concerto no. 5...

Most of you have heard the Rachs and the Ravel, but do check out Khachaturian.  Im sure some of you have heard me speak about Khach but I cant stress how great it is enough.  The Cadenza is magnificant!
