For all you Canadians..... Busoni Concerto
on: July 24, 2005, 09:23:57 AM
I was looking at all the symphony ochestras across Canada, because I usually go see many concerto performances each year. I happened to stumble across the Busoni Concerto being played in Winnipeg!!!!
Now for any of you Canadians (or North Dakotans) that dont know the Busoni Concerto, please,
PLEASE
give it a chance. I was once like you, and thought it was an overrated modernish weird concerto, but it is truly amazing. I would drive 20 hours to see it being performed by anyone, but it is performed by the leading performer of the concerto in the world, Mark-Andre Hamelin!! It would be well worth the 30 dollars plus gas money to see it. Go check it out, I know i'll be there.
