I heard this piece for the first time on the radio last year and really liked it.  I remember going to the music store and looking at the music but not buying it.  You play so cleanly!  It is very exciting to listen to.  Is it as hard as it sounds (I'm guessing it is)?

I know I'm gonna get crucified for saying anything bad about the almighty and revered Koji Attwood, but um... ew.  I'm sure if I elaborate very much I'll end up getting nasty so here goes: it felt extremely empty to me.  Felt like it was being played with virtuosity before musicality.  Sure there was plenty of bravado but it just felt sort of devoid and passionless.  Also something seemed wrong with those glissandi and I can't put my finger on what it was but something just seemed off with it.  Also it may just be me but it felt like alot of the wrong notes were getting accentuated in certain passages.  Anyways, too fast.  Too showy.  I know it's a fast and showy piece, but there are limits.

When it's slow, it sounds like czerny.

Good performance, Koji. :)

I heard a slower recording of the piece after I heard Koji's a while back, the slower recording felt like it had no rhythmic drive.

Without this tempo, there isn't any drive.

Plus the sound is not good.
