I must admit I'd never even heard of Rzewski until I read this thread; though I'm not very familiar with the work of a number of the other composers you've included - namely Albeniz, Boulez, Busoni, Ginastera, Hindemith, Ligeti, Messiaen - I at least know who they are and have heard at least one piece by each (though not pertinent to this thread).  I think this may reflect more on my rather narrow musical experience than anything else (in particular, I don't know much post-WWI music, but since a lot of it veers away from conventional tonality, I have a hard time listening to it - the only exception I can name is Tippett's Triple Concerto, and even that isn't atonal per se).

I don't know as much as many other people, but I'll try my best.
Sorry for all the famous/overplayed things I put on here. They're famous for a reason.
I put reasoning for all of them. Dont ask, I was bored. (well not really bored but you get the idea)

Favorite Bach Suite: Partita No. 6 - Far ahead of its time but maintains baroque sound, texture. The toccata is simply beautiful. It's masterful as a whole. I'd put the French Overture as a close 2nd.
Favorite Bach WTK: C-sharp Minor, Book 1 - Quite a deep fugue.
Favorite Beethoven Concerto: No. 4 - Like a more rambling version of D 894
Favorite Beethoven Sonata: No. 31 - 1st movement ahead of time, evocative of schubert's lonesome desolation, the fugue is mind-blowing even compared to hammerklavier and op 101
Favorite Brahms Opus: Op. 119 Four Pieces - It's the last one, what can I say.
Favorite Brahms Sonata: No. 1 - the minor key ones are more popular but this one's "on point"
Favorite Chopin Ballade: No. 4 - 1st one is beautiful but this one has most complex counterpoint
Favorite Chopin Etude: Op. 10 No. 1 - It's a waterfall? idk, not a big fan of the etudes
Favorite Chopin Prelude: Op. 28 No. 17 - For the same reason as the schumanns and mendelssohn
Favorite Chopin Scherzo: No. 1 - it's fiery passion, and most compared to all chopin scherzi
Favorite Chopin Sonata: No. 2 - You can't go wrong with the popular one lol. Not a big fan of the 3rd one and the 1st one, while underrated, is less popular for a reason.
Favorite Debussy Prelude: Les collines d'Anacapri - Lively, impressionistic textures most characteristic of Debussy.
Favorite Haydn Sonata: Hob. XVI: 50 - complex and contrasting,  but not too superfluous
Favorite Liszt Concert Etude: La Chasse (1851 version) - Actually interesting, not just "virtuostic"
Favorite Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody: No. 6 - Don't know why I like this piece so much.
Favorite Liszt Miscellaneous Piece: Les jeux d'eau a la villa d'este - Textures and allusions lead into impressionistic territory
Favorite Liszt Transcendental Etude: Chasse Neige - Just beautiful
Favorite Mozart Concerto: No. 27 K 595 - mature and full of monumental ideas
Favorite Mozart Sonata: No. 15 K 533 - Deep counterpoint and lots of emotion and playfulness. Not too short but still on point. Best piano piece (and possibly best song) of all time.
Favorite Rachmaninov Prelude: Op. 32 No. 9 - Not very experienced with all the Rach preludes.
Favorite Ravel Suite: Sonatine - That atonality actually does something.
Favorite Scarlatti Sonata: K 141 - Useful study at a time when technique and bravura weren't as much of a thing.
Favorite Schubert Sonata: D 960 - I feel like this doesn't need an explanation.
Favorite Schumann Suite: Op. 12 Fantasiestucke - Combines all good aspects of Schumann into the pinnacle of his works.
Favorite Shostakovich Prelude and Fugue: No. 15 - This is definitely Shostakovich music. no need to copy the old forms if you're not Bach or you don't write like that. Shostakovich does Shostakovich best.
