Can someone help me out please??
on: July 23, 2003, 03:21:52 AM
i know this is going to seem like a very odd question, but can give me a piece of music (any instrument, anything at all) that has a memorable descending major third???????? by memorable i mean like something that is easy to hear(not in the middle of some very fast musical phrase...i think you get the point)

lol sorry for asking this dumb question, im just doing it for ear training purposes.

i listened to chopin's etude no.6 and it was way too fast. i meant something like a very slow melody (something you can sing to)

1) Beginning of the first movement of Beethoven's 5th symphony - this is the easiest one to remember (g - g - g - eflat).

2) Beginning of Mendelssohn's Italian symphony.

3) Beginning or Tchaik. Piano Concerto.

4) Tones made by the NY subways before the doors close.
