Hello....

I'm working on getting a piano and to become a piano player like you guys.  But I wanted to be a part of this forum and thought I should share with you the music that I currently play.

These are two parts, both are excerpt of the first movement of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.  I left them on another website so it doesn't take up space on this server.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but why don't you check out  https://www.violinist.com/?-it's a site just like this one but for violin/violinists and I'm sure you'd fit in great there (they would love to hear this but yes in an mp3 ;)).  I don't mean to be discouraging you from this site but I think you'd get alot more responses and have a better overall experience there for the violin related stuff-hope to see ya there ;).

I tried, but for some reason such a low quality .wav file that I have there won't convert.  I've tried to run it through two public domain programs.  But they're relatively small files.  I'll get my future piano pieces onto .mp3 format.  Just stuck those there as an introduction.

Hello Limegreen,

Thanks for writing.  I guess you're on the violinist.com website?  I've seen the website, but somehow it didn't interest me as much as the piano forum.  It seems to be more blogs than discussion forum.  I think it's because I feel a need to talk about piano as it is so much newer for me.  I'm going to add piano to my life  ;)

Maybe I'll see you there.  But piano is more interesting to me, partly because it's newer for me, and partly because I'm about to get my first piano!  (I'm deciding between steinway B and others.)

Take Care!

i love the sound of violins in general, and aside from my obvious piano bias, i feel that the violin has the power to do more things with a single note or line(obviously) but the strength of the piano is the multiplicity of lines, and the ability to sound complete by itself(maybe why pianists are so solitary)

havent listened to the recordings yet, but i know this concerto is damn hard!
