I've been playing for 18 years, and I think I will play reasonably well in about 3.68 years from now...

THe problem with questions like these is that a person will have a concept of what a good piano player is...usually based on hearing someone else play.

When a person reaches that level, they usually sit there blinking dissapointedly thinking..."this is it??"

I see it all the time, because I am a teacher. Don't get caught up in the "when I'm there I'll be good" mentality, but always think of small steps to increase your current playing level through focused, thought-out practicing.

You will always be better than some players and worse than others...

Wrong board........

I've been playing for about a year, self taught as of 3 months ago, I take lessons now. I practise between 1-2 hours a day.
Ahh llamas......is there anything they can't do?

I started taking lessons as a child in about third or fourth grade.  I am now age 64.

Many times over my life I was moving around the country following employment, and so did not have a piano.

So I guess I could best say, I my piano playing involved a lot of  starting, learning, lessons, and quitting -- not always my wish to quit, but due to circumstances.

I took lessons from 1989 to 1994, and now I have been taking again for the past year.
