Can anyone identify this NOKIA Nocturne piece?
on: August 28, 2005, 05:42:41 PM
There's a ring tone on my friend's phone and she wants to know who wrote it and if there's a corresponding real piano piece.  It's on a Nokia and it's called Nocturne.  I don't think it's a chopin nocturne.

https://www.savefile.com/files/5139842

this is a link to the small midi file that contains this ring tone.

I appreciate any help on this topic.

Thanks for trying....

There's another way to download this same file from the place I got it:

https://www.truepolyphonic.com/download.php?wap=0&title=Nocturne&artist=Original Nokia&q=Mortgages&view=NWxlM2ky&type=mid&PHPSESID=&gzip=off

Whichever is easier.

But thanks again for trying to help me.   :D

I've also noticed a buzzing in the background.  I think that's all it is.... helicopter... yup.. that's the cell phone vibrating and flying off the counter.  ends with a CRASH.

Well... thanks for trying to help

I may be totally wrong, but to me, it sounds like a fake classical piece. Very pretty and composed for this sort of purpose.

You might be right as it seems no one has an actual piece assigned to it.  I guess I'll just have the copy the notes off by ear and just play it on the piano the way it sounds on the cell phone maybe add a few embellishments and just do that as a party trick.
