Op 142 n 3 - Bb -(D935 n 3) -  I think Edwin Fischer could be a good choice.

This is probably the best composition for solo piano by Schubert.  It so beautiful ¡¡¡

I recommend Jeno Jando´s recording followed by Brendel´s (Philips)

The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

Certainly not my favourite Schubert Impromptu but I definately agree than Jando and Brendel are excellent places to start if you are after a fairly seminal recording.

i once played portions of this for church.  i guess, of all the classical composer's, schubert is the most well recepted in that setting.  maybe that's what's meant by seminal.  it's not outright virtuosic, but it's beautiful music - sort of easy listening.

Get the CD recordings of Brendel and Perahia

And Horowitz but only if you like him.
Fortune favours the musical.

I will save you the trouble and not post those pics. that would be scary, plus hurting stevie like that wouldn't be nice.
