Judging musical instruments
on: August 31, 2005, 05:28:53 AM
I had seen this mentioned here on this forum, but the link was dead:

Alexander Galembo's paper on Perception of Musical Instrument by Performer and Listener.

I contacted him and he sent me this good link: https://www.engineeringandmusic.de/html/papdisc/fulltext.html?beitrag_ID=57

It is a very interesting read with a surprising conclusion.

John,
Try this home page link:
https://www.engineeringandmusic.de/
Once there, click on Papers and Discussions at the top,
Then select Music performance and perception from the left,
Then select Alex Galembo's listing (second from top, center).
