So? Which is it? Which is the music in you? Interesting.

Depends on my mood of course! But basically major, because most of the time I'm an optimistic person :)

I was just curious because I always like to play minor. I don't know why but its what I enjoy the most - no matter what mood i'm in.

Actually I think I prefer to listen to works in minor, but to play myself.. I'd go for major :)

I answered that it depends on mood but that is not strictly correct. I see major and minor scales as just abstract shapes and sounds like any keyboard pattern, and do not have a particular emotional association with either. Associations may come and go depending on time and circumstance but nothing is permanent for me, although I realise that this is not the case for many people.

major major yay yay. of course sometimes i'll play minor pieces but major always wins. and it's less annoying to compose in when you're thinking about all those different chords and suttf, and raising the seventh, who wants to think about all that

It depends on my mood, usually, but I think most people who hear my music will notice a predominance of minor. I like tension, urgency, and darkness in music, and minor harmonies are sort of a starting point for that sort of atmosphere.

I almost always like minor music....I guess it seems like there are more options harmonically in minor songs...

It actually quite the oposite(if we're thinking 18th century rules)...but it's usually seems more varied, because the dominant chord is major. Minor pieces always seems more passionate and sad. why is that? some would say that it's because of the low third note..but then..why does the low third make me sad? music is weird

I'm indifferent - great music remains great regardless of tonality.

mostly minor, but i love it when playing a piece in a major key when it goes through a few minor harmonies, they can be even more emotional than pure 'minor key' stuff.

Minor for me too. Funny thing about my kids though, they seem to like the pieces in minor keys as well. The little one prefers playing the tarantella and snake-charmer type of stuff over everything else. Wonder if their tastes are influenced by what I listen to around the house?

I always think about that too...

A few different notes in the scale makes me sad :'(

Can I say Lydian for major, Neopolitan minor  for minor?! I'm more of a modes person, and for me the Lydian is the most beautiful major, whereas the Neopolitan minor is the saddest mode/scale if anything.

I find a slow major piece really nice.
