Randomly getting smashed with your family: an underrated experience
on: September 10, 2005, 05:36:50 AM
hhahaha, I just had a great time with my family, mom, dad, sister, extended, friends at a random restaruant downtown Toronto. twuz my moms 60th birthday and we ate mad portugese food and drank and were merry.
Seriously, compared to going drinking with friends, the family is such an underrated element in the partying world of young adults. I had one of the best times ever, talked with random people and generally, didn't regret anything (as i commonly do when i just get smashed and go to clubs).
although it likely put a dent in mah popz' pocket book, you can't put a price on a party like this.
Randomly, I'm still hammered, the coffee did nothing
I LOVE YOU NILSJOHAN!!!!!

sounds sweet. as long as you don't drive home that way. your family sounds like it has some good bonds. hope my kids are still around me when i'm 60. maybe as children get older they see more good in their parents. right now, my kids think of me as sort of a 'yeller.' 'clean up your mess,' ' get out of bed,' 'what did you do that for?', 'stop fighting.' (maybe i should have been in the chinese communist party). i believe in hard work, peasant labor (not hiring maids), and enjoying relaxation only in the evening. my kids, on the other hand, want class and priveledge all day long and the toilets or bathrooms being clean doesn't matter. the only time things get done is when i start a revolution (dumping cereal boxes out and telling them to clean it up).
i kinda take back some of this, though, because my son, when he does work - works amazingly. he helped me do some backbreaking kind (setting some rock along the driveway) for about four hours the other day. he does a lot of outside work on the weekends, and i really appreciate it. also, my daughter babysits occasionally (she'll say a lot) and is really sweet most of the time, too. i think it's getting a family to work together that makes it great - as well as partying together.

All of my favourite experiences are with family, I can't think of a better time than having a drink with my mom
