Willis Piano, any good?
on: September 18, 2005, 09:50:15 PM
Oh Jeremy
.
I need your advice again. I'm still piano hunting. Now I've found an old 5' 2'' Willis upright. I'm guessing it's about 100 years old. I don't know. The lady said her father passed it on to her in 1988. She has to move to Saskatchewan and doesn't have room for it anymore. She said it's been played alot and moved alot. (I don't know if it's been played hard or not though, just alot, maybe). Anyway, all the keytops are still the originals which is something after some of the one's I've seen
. She said that if someone would be willing to pay to have it moved, she would be happy with $750.00. I haven't seen it yet, and if I do like it, I'll get my technichian to take a look at it, but what do you think? I don't know anything about Willis pianos other than they don't appear to make them anymore. Btw, anyone can answer this. I'm just bugging Jeremy out of habbit.

I have one that's about the same age and it's not bad, but the action is not great, and it's hard to control. Overall it's ok if your not seriously into piano. I find myself reather frustrated with it playing top level stuff on it. Although the sound is better and fuller then some uprights I've played on.
Just my piano and MhO though.
