I enjoyed the book immensely (obsessed, as Luc seems with veneer) and particularly the references to two great piano teachers.  One, Sebok, stuck to me immediately, having enjoyed his masterclasses while in Bloomington.  The other, though, I can't recall and I no longer have the book.

This other teacher apparently has a series of excercises that focus in avoiding pre-touch tension, particularly associated with preparing the attack (what an aggressive word for our contact with the piano) of the notes.

1)  Who is the teacher?  [It was Peter Feuchtwangler]
2)  Have you ever seen or heard about these excercises?
3)  Do you know of a score?

This should make a nice contrast with the Cortot string going on.
Money does not make happiness, but it can buy you a piano.  :)

I don't remember him either, and I had never heard of him before, although I had certainly heard of Sebok....
