Scarlatti K67 fingering problem
on: September 21, 2005, 07:16:00 PM
I can´t figure out in which fingering I´m supposed to play bar 13 left hand. The only fingerings I have come with are really akward...  :-\

Could someone help me?

Well,

I haven't played it at all and I'm no expert but I will try this:

1535 1535 2215 2213

1525 1535 2315 2323

I think the main difference to the previous fingering is that I would encourage you to change fingers on repeated notes, for once because it helps in achieveing in a more detached effect (if desired) and it prepares for what's coming afterwards. Memorizing that is more difficult, however, and it all depends on your hand size and finger stretching ability anyway, so any of those fingerings could be way off, but may serve as a starting point for some fresh ideas. Good luck!

My daughter uses the following fingering:

1424 1424 1424 1424

It needs hand shifting similar to scale run

I agree with namul, but here's an alternative (for smaller hands, maybe) 1525 1535 2424 1424 maybe not quite as elegant or repetitive, but may fit better in some hands.
