Piano Street Magazine:
Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges. Im trying to learn a basic version of this song by ear...... The first bit of piano you hear is obviously me

the 2nd is a section of horns from the song (A fool for you) I was wondering if Im correct in what I am playing as Im trying to get the same notes.... I feel something is mising....

I think the 3 chords are basically

Bb Cdim Ddim

so the structure goes Bb Cdim Ddim Cdim Bb

Hello Silva,

I wish I could help you out, but I'm very new with piano. To me it sounds pretty much right, but as if you are missing some note or two in the "middle" of the chords. But that's just a very lame guess though.

By all the very educated posts I have read on this forum, I'm surprised noone has answered.

Sounds like the chords are right but maybe you want to look closer at the voicings for a better result.

But the neighbours have people drilling here, its terrible. I can't hear anything.
