I HAVE A RACHMANINOFF VIDEO!!
on: October 02, 2005, 10:51:41 PM
I have a sound video of Rachmaninoff himself performing his second concerto. It is only an extract tough... 36 secs. STILL AMAZING !!!!!! His back his allways straight and his hands move like crazy. For each attack, he jumps like 20 centimeters. It is amazing to see him for real...

I'm sorry but how the hell can you not tell the difference between Moiseiwitsch and Rachmaninoff...thanks for getting my hopes up and then dashing them.

This is hilarious. That being believable as Rachmaninoff is just about as believable as your skill level.

Well ... that was the name of the file and this can look like a bit rachmaninoff ... if you don't know the other guy and that the filename was rachmaninoff performing. Anyway sorry for that.

Its from the art of piano video probably...it said that Rachmaninov mentioned that Moisewitch (dunno the spelling) played his works better than Rach himself. He is very good though ...the b minor prelude that follows it also.
Waste of time -- do not read signatures.

The bminor prelude video and Hofmann on the beggining are legendary testament video recordings indeed, they shock me everytime.
