Liszt - Pensee des morts (thought of the dead)

this piece is awesome, should i randomly learn it?

its very moving, and profound, possibly.

anyway what do you guys think of it?

Stevie, please explain something to me (although I know you won't.) Why would learning this piece by "random?" Randomly, what's with all the "random"s? Isn't choosing any piece to learn "random"? Forgive me for being so square.

yeah you should, its great. And while youre at it, randomly pack in La lugubre gondola n1 and 2, this is recital-worthy! Mebbe Vallée too (altho I had a really bad time learning those alternating octaves in the middle). Also include the poem attached to Vallée, tis gonna be really somber. I am missing La lugubre dongola n2 sheet, so I can't group this altogheter for a nice family recital  :-\

possibly.

but this is a random choice for me because its unlike any other piece ive played.

Also it's not played so much, what a relief and pleasant change  :D

But why do the dead think in 5/4 and 7/4....kinda spooky... :o

hahaha true, i think its a much greater piece than FUN ON THE RAILS, really underplayed.

i randomly have it on dvd played by some guy(literally, his name is GUY), and a rec by hough.

any other randomly good recs?
