i'd never heard of him before yesterday, but on our listening list for concertos - he played the emperor concerto like nobody's business.  just wondering if i could get a little bit more information about him.

Istomin totally rocked.  His chamber works with Stern and Rose are legendary.  Their Mendelssohn D minor trio is my favorite recording/performance/piece EVER.
