First Ballade coda or Second sonata finale, which is harder?

Just asking, coz i feel both have the same mood (both are endings of one of Chopin's major works)

it all depends on the speed

all these questions about difficult are hard to answer because of 2 things -

1 -  they never specify the exact speed which you mean for it to be played at, and in these 2 cases, the primary difficulty is all about speed.

2 - everybodys technique is different, the ballade presto is mainly about wrist technique, if you have very fast octaves it will be easier, and the sonata finale is all about raw finger technique, and the same goes.


so in short - it depends upon the speed of each, and your technical strength and weaknesses.

Nope- the coda is harder.  I've played them both and I must say that the coda is extremely difficult to play correctly and cleanly at the tempo indicated.  Hands down, coda.

i didn't find the coda at all difficult it's very pianistic it fell perfectly under my fingers and i don't have any trouble playing it fast.

but the finale is another story.

in the g minor triad then stretch down to the C#, do you use 245 or 235 on the triad?
