on: November 06, 2005, 10:52:25 PM
Greetings.
I am playing these pieces of current and I wonder if Glen Gould made his recordings of these pieces. I definitely want to hear them. My teachers hasn't seen these recordings and I wonder if he made them. If anyone knows please help.

It seems they're (at least the preludes) recorded on "
The Glenn Gould Edition: Bach: Partitas, Preludes & Fugues
".

Angela Hewitt has also recorded some of them. I have the French Suites 2 disc set which also include some little Preludes and Fugues.

Wolfgang Rubsan and Janos Sebestyen have also recorded them (for Naxos), and Rosalyn Tureck recorded a small selection of them (for Sony).
Best wishes,
Bernhard.

Daniel Barenboim has a CD with both WTC books complete.
If you like his style, they are very very good and highly recommended.
