Was Rachmaninoff muslim?
Probably not the best "Repertoire" question, but Rachmaninoff was Russian Orthodox. It just happens that his name is not Russian but Russianized (-inoff), and his ancient lineage is Persian. Rahman (pronounced Rachman) I think might have been the name of some God of generosity. Or it could just mean generous. I encourage you to research it more. His music has a lot of exotic effects and scales which can be understood in this Middle-Eastern light.
