Flash. Sucks. Arse.

Nils, if you read this, would it be difficult to open an irc server?

It is just fainting.
The chat room is currently quite invisable and hard to find for most visitors but there will be a change and it will happen soon...

It has always been and will always be nessary to login to visit the chat. This is just the way the chat works so I don't understand how this would make it look busy.

Partly true. We are looking at alternatives to the flash chat but it is actually working quite well for most users.

Wah, I wasn't very clear, would explain why only Crazy For Ivan, m1469Fox and Chopinisque turned up ^_^;;

Everytime you log into the forums to post a message, or just log into the forum! You must click on the little chat room button and enter the room while you are staying logged in at the forum ^_^ There must be about 10 people on the forum at one time, just drop in for a moment, say hi atleast, I can understand people don't desire the company or distraction from more important matters... but these reasons can't apply to everyone at once ;)

Sorry if I now misunderstood you again Nils, but I think I wasn't very clear to begin with O_o My apologies!

It takes awhile to load.  That actually stops me sometimes.  And it takes more memory.

It's nice to meet people, but the quality isn't always there.  I feel compelled to talk to people in there which can keep me from there sometimes.

Or just habit.

I'm there now.  At least for awhile.

Nils, would it be possible for you to open a small IRC server? With only a PF channel?

I would be happy to write a tutorial on mIRC and I think everyone will like irc more than flash chat.

Could just create a PF channel in an existing IRC server.

...or just run your own local server, it'll have the same number of people in :)

^Oh dear...

There is not much point because you can talk on the forum - it's weird anyhow. I tried the chat, although I did get some piano help, sometimes it becomes a bit of flaky people discussion.
