What is your favourite SET of pieces by Debussy? Such as, Suite Bergamasque, Pour La Piano.........

I like almost everything he wrote, some of the early music is not so great IMO, his first really substansial work where he really comes into his own is Estampes. But if I had to pick just one...it would be the 2nd Book of Preludes, closely followed by the Etudes (both books)...

I really like Debussy's 1st book of preludes. I am starting to tackle his douze etudes. I don't know what they are not played that often? A bit off topic but which ones do you think are best of the etudes?

Because they are very difficult, and are too musically advanced for the average audience, who would rather hear Suite Bergamasque or Images I. This does not lessen their worth, of course.
