Sheet Music Request - Beethoven Turkish March
on: December 19, 2005, 06:02:44 PM
I am looking for a piece of sheet music printed by Schirmer.  It was the Turkish March, from "The Ruins of Athens" by Beethoven.  I believe the arrangment was by Rubinstein.

I have checked with all my local stores, and they state that it is discontinued and are unable to get it.

The copy I had was lost in a basement flood.  Any help would be apreciated.

A piano arrangement of that is available in a book called "Beethoven: Popular Piano Pieces" or something like that.  I'll give you the exact name when I get home, if you're interested.  I know the book is still available, and has been around for at least 25 years.  It's got other standards, also, like Fur Elise, Pathetique, Moonlight, Gagatelle in Gm. etc.   It's not at all expensive.
