working on the same piece alot can do it....but i get the feeling that you need inspiration.
like many random young pianists, you need to seek out piano recordings and videos, see whats the state of the art in piano performance, witness hamelin and libetta playing godowsky and alkan, witness horowitz and cziffra playing chopin and liszt.
thats the frightening thing ive noticed when talking to some young pianists, they practice themselves, and they have some interest, but theyve never thought to look out and see whats so great about piano playing, and why they should work hard at it.
it should never be boring once youve got enough food to chew on, your appetite needs to be healthy

i never experience boredom, i only experience being overwhelmed at the mountain that lies ahead, overwhelmed....but always excited especially when i reach a new plateau.
