on: January 03, 2006, 08:57:57 PM
Hi for everyone here on forum!

Im always listening, watching for performances..with Nelson Freire, Horowitz, Rubistein, Marta argerich, Guimar Novaes, Alfred Brendel..and others....

And i Always im thinking..on the piano concertos..Beethoven Piano Concertos, Rach Concertos..and other..they dont do something wrong??..wrong notes?...All that they play in concert is perfect? or they make something wrong?

Thanks!!!

Well of course all those pianists have the occasional wrong note, perhaps even several wrong notes..  But the reason why their music making is so great is not that they play all the music totally perfect, but that there is an aspect--or, probably many aspects--of their interpretation that is so astounding that other imperfections can be easily forgiven.  For it is the profound feeling and emotion Horowitz can evoke, for example, that the public is so interested in, that in his later years in particular his blunders at the keyboard--even obvious as they are--are so easily overlooked. :)
