Dances
on: January 04, 2006, 09:46:25 PM
I'm playing a 20min recital for my A2 music performance, and I've found 12mins, which I'm playing on my cello. I'm studying Grade 8 on the piano, but I'm looking for pieces grade 7 or maybe grade 6. The pieces I'm playing are all types of dances, so I'm looking for a dance to play on the piano. I'm particularly looking for music in the Classical period. Could anyone help me if they know of some pieces like this? I've been looking for ages and I can't find much.

Thanks a lot  ;D

Beethoven many many dances, called Ecossaises. Some of them have Op. numbers but many have WoO numbers. In general they are not that difficult. They are very good I am surprised they are not mentioned more.
Medtner, man.
