Should I try them, or are they impossible?

no not impossible. it took me a couple of weeks to get that prelude decently, but the fugue is another story. I found the memorization to be a bit tough, but technically nothing too bad. go for it.

How was the fugue? Those left hand octaves look/sound impossible.

the fugue did take some more time, but it is managable. just take it slow and easy. notice the lack of slurs with the music. Don't try to connect everything.
