are there any teen pianists out there??????

My name is Madeleine, and Im fourteen. are there ANY serious, advanced, young pianists? So, I saw this site and thought maybe I could meet a couple of people.

ive been taking piano for five years and hope to major in music performance or music therapy. I am entering highschool next year (really excited about that!) I live in the country, and love reading, looking at fashion images, audrey hepburn movies, and writing in my journal. Im a hopeless romantic when it comes to music; I adore Chopin, Brahms, and >random because hes not romantic in the least< Carl Vine. My three favorite performers are Lang Lang, Joyce Yang, and Alicia Keys.

So, if you had the time to read that, your obviously curious. What I was wondering is if any one (between 13 and 18, prefferably) would want to exchange emails, set up chat times, etc. we could talk about performing, competing, practicing, peices, being normal, whatever.

I am so sorry for your teacher. I wish you luck. How was your recital prodigy, concerning the etude and the fantasie impromptu? I am 17 by the way and have been practicing and playing for about 8 months. Currenctly I am working on alot of Bach's preludes including the invention, Mozart's "Alla turca" rondo, almost finished with the variations(Just need to perfect the last), Daquin's Le Coucou(Almost perfect except for some of the trills), Tchaikovsky's piece from the album for the young- "Playing with horses"(Rough translation), Schumann's "From foreing lands and people"(Almost perfect), alot of technical material such as Czerny, Hanon, Cortot, Cramer for now, as well as of course the scales, triads, chords, arpeggios of all kinds, etc. I am also working on Chopin's first Etude from the first book. I really, really love practicing all of these pieces and excersizes.

I have been doing alot of study on the book and I have improved quite fast. I read it every single day for lots of time.
