I do use pedal in the second movement!  For the first...two and a half systems, I use half of the pedal, so it doesn't sound so dry.  When it comes to the part where the left hand has the alberti bass, I don't use any at all.  I mostly use the pedal for the sF so it has a more rich sound, and near the ending of a held chord so it connects well.  For the middle section, especially for about the first page, I use a lot of the pedal because it has more of a Beethovian sound.  When it comes to the repeated notes, where there is an accent on the first note of every triplet, I only use the pedal on the first triplet of every beat.  The last section is just like the first.

I recommend that you go through it, and play it different ways until you can get a rich sound without anyone realizing that you are using the pedal.  It has to be so clear, that if a person wasn't watching you playing it, he/she wouldn't be able to tell if you're using the pedal or not.  Actually, pedal wise, it is the hardest movement out of the three.  It's probably because it's the slowest and it has so many details that you have to pay extra close attention to what you are doing.

Hope this helps!
