Prokofiev Sarcasms Op. 17 -- III
on: January 15, 2006, 02:14:09 PM
This is the 3rd of the 5 Sarcasms - Allegro Precipitato.

Recorded April 2004, but I want to play it again (all 5 actually)

Any suggestions?

Be more sarcastic.   ;D

A nice job done with the dynamics, especially the crashes there.  Sounds very fluid -- I liked it although I do't know much about the piece.

I've  played all Sarcasms. About the middle, tha Lyric part: it should be more lyric and I can't hear the harmony and other voices, but before this part you should come to fff and to make a big contrast.

A nice job done with the dynamics, especially the crashes there.

keep working, and learn all of them.
good luck,

Thanks for your comments.  So I guess I did a good job bringing out the melody?  Ha, ha, I guess I overdid it because I was not hearing the melody before, and now you can't hear the harmony  =)

Where exactly should I get to fff before the lyric section?  Are you talking about measure 29? Because it's marked ff right there and then gradually decrescendos to the "un poco largamente," so I'm not sure.
