well personally I would rather be at a concert that wasn't recorded. Like the series of concert Hofmann gave in Russia without repeating a piece or Horowitz's graduation recital, NY and Berlin debuts. The Rach 3 he played with Rachmaninoff playing second piano. Of recorded concerts I would loved to attend Hofmann's Golden Jubilee at the Met.

Hofmann, Casimir Hall Recital, he played Kreisleriana. Waldstein, Polonaise op.26#2, Caprice Orientale.....  :o 8)

From the poll selections I picked Rachmaninov playing his 3rdd Concerto.

Yeah, I would have loved to have been at that one too. That Waldstein, in particular, is killer.

That was all opera transcriptions though wasn't it? I would go anyway, but it would have been nice if the programme was different.
