The introduction to Strauss's Also Sprach Zarathustra is notable.

Well that's a rather bold statement! Could you enlighten me as to what an "actual" melody is? I think I may be a bit confused, because I'm fairly positive I heard more than one melody in Opus Clavicembalisticum.
