Reinhold Gliere.

Greetings.

A long time ago, about when I started playing I have played his Prelude in Dflat major. I have found it very beautifull. It reminded me slightly or Rachmaninov's sort of style and the presence of melancholy. I see that this composer isn't talked of here as much and I do wonder If perhaps you played his works or are familiar with them. I definately do look forward to playing his works more. :)

I played his piece called "A sketch". It had beautiful dreamy melody line. I also like his Lyric Pieces readily available from on-line sheet music stores.

I played a piece a while ago on clarinet called 'Valse triste' that was by Gliere. It was quite nice.
