Anyone a Martha Argerich fan??

I think Martha Argerich is one of the greatest, if not the greatest female pianist of this century.

Has anyone heard her live performance before?

What do you think of her playing, temperament, etc?

Argerich is in my opinion the greatest recorded pianist. I have seen her on DVD doing Prokofiev 3 and the Strauss Burleske, and was going to see her do Beethoven 1 last February but she canceled (I was going to meet her afterwards as well... ). She is playing Prokofiev 3 in London next March though so I am going to see that   ! My CD collection is turning into a complete Argerich discography,

I have read once a critic that said about a famous pianist (I think it was Ashkenazy), that when he asked him what 2 famous pianist talks about when they meet, he was answered that they talk about martha argerich.

Has anyone seen the documentary "Martha Argerich, Evening Talks" by Georges Gachot ?
I missed it twice: once it was shown in a movie hall, then on TV And apparently it is not available yet in VHS or DVD.

I read somewhere it was called Martha Argerich: A Conversations Nocturne (interesting to see the different translation). I have not had the opportunity here in London to see it but as soon as it is released on DVD I'll get it,

I saw the "Conversations Nocturnes" last year, and while enjoyable, I didn't find it profound.  There are some anectdotal nuggets that will quickly graft themselves onto the existing Argerich lore, but one doesn't really learn much about her philosophy to music-making, nor does one see her play very much, which is too bad.

I saw her last september here in Buenos Aires....simply amazing....

She played Beethoven's 1st with Charles Dutoit as conductor, Rachmaninov 's suite nº1 and nº2 for two pianos, bartok sonata for two pianos & percusion, prokofiev/pletnev Cinderrela again for two pianos, schumann fantasiestucke op 73, prokofiev sonata nº2 for piano and violin, and concertos nº1 & 3, piazzolla, and ravel mi madre la oca.....
Thats all she played....all in 8 days...
the crowd applauded her so much that she return to stage and played alone!!! i think it was scarlatti...
pretty intense, her stay in Buenos Aires, don't you think?
