The book "The Joy of Piano Entertainment" by Denes Agay (Yorktown Music Press YK21178) has variations on Happy Birthday "from Bach to Boogie" as they say, Happy Birthday original version, followed by Bach style, a la Mozart, a la Liszt, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin, Johann Strauss, Sousa, Debussy, Gershwin and Boogie. All *very* cool and interesting, and quite the mini-concert program to celebrate someone! Imagine announcing your concert program "Tonight I'll play for you some Bach, Debussy, Beethoven, some Schubert, some Chopin and maybe a little Gerswin" and then it's all the same piece but in different styles! Viva Victor Borge!Regards,
Does anyone have a cool version of the birthday song (for piano) in pdf? e.g. jazz, theme & variations, etc. Thanks!
Cyprien Katsaris wrote a theme and variation of the theme Happy Birthday to u in different fashion like 'Mozart, Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann...'it's actually very very cool piece.i have it on pdf
Seems intermediate. I'll send you a sample.
I don't have a score or something, but there exist a video tape of Arcadi Volodos improvising on happy birthday in all styles (Mozart, Rachmaninoff, etc), which is very funny (especially the Rachmaninoff version). Try to find that tape and you will get very inspired
