I think that if the UN or any of its component parts try anything against Iran, Russia and China will veto it. If the EU tries to negotiate using its "soft power," Iran will simply use them to stall for time, like they have. If the US or NATO try a blockade/sanctions/invasion, hell will break out. However, this is all moot, because as we all know, Israel will just launch air strikes on their nuclear compounds when they feel threatened, just like they did with Iraq. In a recent interview, the head of the Israeli Air force (or the chief of staff, I forget exactly who) said that Israel would go "2000 kilometers" to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions. If anyone remembers the last time a country in the middle east started developing nuclear weapons (Iraq) and threating Israel what happened, then I think that one can see what will probably end up happening.

Passionate people who don't like the idea of the west telling them what to do, I am curious too where it will end :)
