Dallas Tango, duet (video)

This here is a little bit of the Dallas Tango by Karp.  Up to where I forgot my part, haha!  Oh well, my camera only had a couple more seconds of room left on it anyway!  This is for my friend Debs who wanted a link.  I'm the one closest to the camera, and my teacher is the other.  We're at the music school, on the very nice piano there, but the camera picked up my end more than hers and made it sound rather percussive because of where it was sitting.  But enjoy anyway!  (For those interested in learning it, the primo is approximately grade 9 RCM standard, and the secondo is approx. grade 7.  The whole this is about 6 minutes long).

O.K.,  I will make a comment.  This was neat.  If you could have just located the camera a little bit higher so that all of the fingers could have been seen in the video and regulated the distortion or "clipping" you would be "in there".

What does, "regulating the distortion, or clipping," mean?  I do agree that the camera was in a bad position, but I didn't know how my teacher felt about me putting her up on the internet, so I kept it so only our hands could be seen.

I liked it. I am from Argentina, and I listen to tango a lot and I really liked your interpretation.

Thanks alot gonzalo!  I haven't listened to alot of tango music.  My teacher and I just sort of have fun with this piece and follow each other's lead (I mainly follow hers ;)).  We don't really have a "planned" interpretation, though one is starting to form, the more we play it.  So I was wondering if you could give us some pointers, like what you liked about it and what wasn't so authentic.  Stuff like that?  We'ld love to make it better!  Thanks,

Lagin

that's so much fun!  I really enjoyed it!  I was dancing a little along with it.
