Things people experience when learning a new piece
on: February 27, 2006, 08:04:22 PM
1st Phase- So excited, sounds beautiful  :o  :'(
2nd Phase- This sucks, I can't get this part right, lets move on to another piece. Not pleasant to play. ???
(But keeps on practicing the same piece)
3rd Phase- Wow, this seems pretty pleasant to play. ;D

Based off my own observations of myself.  ;D And figure it seems to apply to everything, (like hw  ???)

It was during the third Phase of Mozart's Piano Concerto #20 when somehow, it popped up. Yay, I get to play with orchestra in June  ;D

yep, that's a little the same to me, but this is usually followed by

4th phase... if only I could somehow master/perfect this... its not there... gahh!

5th phase... ah well, its sounding good now, i like it

6th phase... performance... made a mess of it, but I think I've pulled it off with the audience (except maybe that stern looking competition judge over there ::))

hahah, nice!

1st phase: Excited, dreams (delusions ;)) of success.
2nd phase: troubles -> frustration -> blind rage  >:( >:(
3rd phase: calm, stubborn tenacity.
4th phase: begin to conquer physical problems... Or else decide to shelf it.
5th phase: work out musical details as much as I know how.
6th phase: immediately forget all about that piece and begin the next one ;D

7th phase:  how does it start again?
8th phase: "I can play piano, I'm telling you!", while being dragged away in a straightjacket.

9th phase - can't even hum the first bars anymore or remember the opus number.
