yesterady i was in a concert of fazil say and israeli philharmonic orchestra..
first the orchestra played one of my favorite symphonies: schumann no.3 'rhenish'
altough the first part was too slow for my taste, the rest was GREAT. especially the last movement
he played paganini rhapsody amazingly good. his touch was sensitive and he was fast too (not volodos, but fast enough)
he played 2 encores
1. some jazzy variations on pagnini's theme
2. some wierd composition that he touched the strings of the piano from the inside and played the piano and a sound of a drum came from it.. kinda weird and innovative..
3rd was suite from firebird .. stravinsky. i'm not familiar with modern classical music so it felt weird for me to hear it first time

btw i was in this concert today too.. twice.. i'm a solider now and soliders don't have to pay for concerts so i just go freely everytime i want :))

1. Fazil Say Jazz theme on paganini 24th caprice. There is score available.
2. Black Earth, composed by Fazil Say. Prepared piano piece. It's on his black earth album.
