Beethoven's Appassionata, Andante con moto

I don't know... it's maybe *thee* most beautiful and striking movement of music there is
(he he... it's how I feel sometimes anyway).  It just holds so much substance within it's simplicity.  Perhaps it is the epitomy of truth and honour (and a whole lot of other things).

It is amazing, I like the semiquaver variation the best

I have been working on the "Adagio" movement of Pathetique -- for about the third time over the last 20 years.  Each time i work on it, it gets a little better. But like a vintage wine, it seems to require time.  Or perhaps I am the one who requires the cellaring.

I can only guess from the "andante" that this is the second movement.

What's your favorite edition of this material?  I may try to purchase same.

And with such simplicity comes such complexity in interpretational decisions.  There are multiple melodic lines within the music often occuring simultaneously.  Much can be done with the piece.
