"Surprising" classical music
on: March 26, 2006, 09:03:04 PM
I'm looking for classical music that "startles" the listener. Pieces such as Haydn's "Surprise" symphony (No.94).

I actually have a piece for piano in mind, but the exact piece and the composer escapes me right now. However, all music will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
--Someone

Beethoven's Piano Sonata no.10 in G, Op.14 no2, second movement.  The last chord should wake you up if you have fallen asleep.
